Staff Development and Training

	Department has allocated Rs 3,50,000/- for staff development and training for year 2007-08
	Prof Y H Dandawate and Prof R B Ghongade were sponsored for international conferences at Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia
	Prof P D Khandekar is deputed for research work at I2IT, Pune
	The institute gives a grant of Rs 1000/- to those who are pursuing post graduation or research towards purchase of reference books and consumables
	Staff members are encouraged to take membership of the professional societies by giving loan for the membership fees
	The institute has sponsored IEEE and IET membership of four staff members of E & TC and one staff member of computer
	Interest free loan facility is provided for personal laptops.
