Information Technology plays a key role in helping organizations achieve profitable results and keep competitive forces in check. IT is a technology of computers, communications and other devices that integrate data, equipment, personnel and problem-solving methods in planning and controlling business activities. Information Technology provides the means of collecting, storing, encoding, processing, analyzing, transmitting, receiving and printing text, audio or video information. It has both logical and technical components. Logical components include mission, functional and information requirements, system configurations and information flows. Technical components include IT standards and rules that will be used to implement the logical architecture.

Keeping the objective of educating young mindsets and creating effective IT professionals, Department of Information Technology was established in 2005.  With the help of best of the infrastructure and the proper action plan, we train and educate engineers of outstanding ability who can become leaders in their profession. We also associate closely with industrial leaders to help students in undertaking programs needed in their sectors.

The department is instrumental in conducting various technical and non-technical activities for students as well as faculty members. Every semester, here in the department, regular classes of latest technologies are being conducted for students. On a continuous basis, students are made aware about the latest industry trends and needs in various technological areas. Well-motivated faculty members are always engaged in student’s welfare. Encouragement and guidance is offered to the students for participating in sports and various extra curricular activities to highlight and strengthen their non-technical skills.

Team of devoted faculties is a real strength of the department. 5 faculties are post-graduate while other 5 are in the verge of completing the same. Some faculty members have shown the inclination to do a research and their work has been started. Department is always ready to motivate them with whatever assistance they need. Almost all staff members have published technical papers in various national and international conferences. Department is credited with consultancy services. Faculties are being called for corporate training in various IT companies. Department has been well tuned in such a way that every faculty member gets self motivated and sets up a good example in front of the students.
