Workshop of Embedded System Design using PIC at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

Workshop of “Embedded System Design using PIC”, was an initiative taken by IIT, Bombay with VIIT to enhance the skills of students which was attended by 15 students from TE E&TC along with 3 faculty members, Mr. P G. Gawande, Mrs. D P. Pandit and Mr. S S. Wakchaure.

Students got an opportunity to attend a workshop as a part of 'e-prayog' at Wadhwani labs, IIT Bombay. Workshop commenced on 18^th December, 2017. Main focus was on practicing SMD soldering and training students with various facts of soldering steps, testing boards via software and loading bootloader to the programing board at Wadhwani lab

Students appreciated this initiative taken by college and faculty for giving them opportunity to work with Wadhwani lab faculty at IIT Bombay.

Students faced the regular submission of assignments and a midsem on 24th March 2018. The activity will continue throughout semester in co-ordination with IIT faculty to complete EMBEDDED DESIGN certified course which will be helpful for them to sharpen their skills which will be definitely useful for projects. This activity was coordinated by Dr. C. S. Garde and Mr. K. J. Raut.

The same type of workshop was conducted at VIIT E&TC Dept. on 13th January 2018, for interested students by the faculty participated at IIT for parallel training on Aurum in association with IEEE Students Branch, VIIT and EESA.
